Dr. Mihnea Constantinescu



Mihnea Constantinescu has over 10 years of experience in finance and risk management.

Since 2014, Mihnea has served as Head of Research at the Bank of Lithuania where he is responsible for design and implementation of the strategic research plan and tactical management of research activities. Prior to that, he served as Acting Director at the Center for Excellence in Finance and Economic Research in Vilnius, Lithuania, where he established a research hub in collaboration with local academia and was leading operational and strategic management.

Additionally, Mihnea teaches real estate finance and economics in Zurich, Vilnius, and Amsterdam. His academic and research career spans over 12 years, during which he focused on real estate finance, and risk and portfolio management at the University of Zurich and the New York University.

Mihnea earned his Ph.D. in Finance (real estate markets and behavioral finance) from the University of Zurich. He holds a Master of Quantitative Studies in Finance jointly awarded by ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, and a Master of Engineering from the Politehnica University, Bucharest, Romania, where he graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering.

Mihnea is a co-founder of PrepayWay where he is responsible for business model development.
